Addison’s walk is a path that follows behind some of the colleges at Oxford University.  You’ll find the tree covered path behind C.S. Lewis’ Magdalene College.  He would often walk there with friends and students.  It wasn’t unusual to see him with the likes of J.R.R. Tolkien.

Addison’s walk is a symbol of the journey of this life for me. One of the ways I navigate this journey is by using Ignatius’ Awareness Examen.   Follow the link at the top of the page for this. This website is an invitation to join with me in some of the journey we share.  You are welcome not only to read my ideas and opinions, but to add your own to my Tabletalk blog.

Much of what I hope to do here is discuss matters of culture and faith.  But there’s room for things whimsical and outside the box as well.

Along Addison’s walk

THE LAMPPOST

It stands as a sentinel in Narnia.  Here it is used to signify a place to enter into the world of C.S. Lewis and the Inklings.  This etched lamppost is a detail from the “Narnian Window” at Lewis’ home church, Holy Trinity, Headington, Oxfordshire.
